2. How does my listing looks like?

Your hotel will be added to our website under the city where it is located along with the type of facility. 
You can see an example : "ABC test Hotel" under Ahangama
A customer who are looking for a hotel in Ahangama will select the City - Ahangama Accommodation Type - Hotel
and the required dates. Then press search.

 The search results will give him all available hotels in that city.

On the search results page, customer can see a picture of your hotel, Address, brief description, room availability and price. Our website allows you to list different type of rooms with different prices for any single property.

Customers are able to go to the "more details" page and get more details about your property as well as a picture gallery of your hotel.

He will be able to make reservations by clicking the Book Now button on this page at any time.

As we accept all major credit cards including Visa / Master Card / Discover/ American Express / Dinars and JCB, customers are able to pay online and make reservations instantly.

Immediately after making a reservation, you will get a confirmation email automatically. If you don’t have an internet facility at your hotel, our agent in Colombo will call you to inform the reservation immediately.


The credit card payment will be transferred to our corporate account and then we will pay you after deducting a pre agreed commission.

3. What type of lodging facilities can be listed on this web site?

Currently we accept following types of lodging facilities to list on our web site.

Hotels (specially small and medium class budget hotels), Guest Houses, Motels, Bed and Breakfast Units, Apartments, Vacation Homes, Eco Lodges, etc.

4. How much it will cost for a listing?

We do not charge any money for the listings on our website. All our charges are coming through sales commissions.

5. What are the standards required for lodging facilities?

We would like your lodging facilities to meet acceptable industry standards. We also expect you to maintain those standards continuesly.

In addition to that we need you to have a permanent dedicated care taker or manager on site and reliable communication facilities to the property. It can be a permanent telephone facility or internet facility.

6. Do I need internet service at my facilities to join with you?

If you have internet facility it is easier for you to manage your front desk reservations. But you may enjoy online reservation facility without having internet too.

When customer place a reservation, the availability of our database will be updated. If you decide to sell a room by yourself, which has already listed on our website, you must first check the availability on our website to prevent double booking.
For this purpose you must have an internet facility.

But it is not essential to have internet to join with us. Having a reliable permanent telephone line to the facility is more than enough.


We will maintain a customer care office with internet facilities in Sri Lanka to help our clients and customers. You can communicate with them at any time to manage your inventory or local bookings.


As an example, you can call our Sri Lanka office before accepting any booking to a listed property to make sure of any last minute online reservations. On the same way you will be able to remove your whole property or any part of it to enable you to sell at the front desk.

7. Do I have to add my whole property to this booking system?

No.

You may add any number of rooms as you wish to our reservation system. At any time you may increase or decrease the availability by logging into the system or by contacting our Sri Lanka office over the phone.

8. How do I know after any booking has been made?

Immediately after the reservation or cancellation has been made, you will receive a confirmation email automatically to your email address.

When you are signing in with us, you will get a unique email address from us. It can be accessed by the property manager and / or the property owner from anywhere in the word.  If you are currently having an email address, we can direct our emails to that too.


If you do not have any internet facility, we will be able to fax the reservation or cancellation confirmations immediately to your fax and / or confirm reservation over the phone to you or property manager.

9. Can I join with other websites too?

Yes. We do not prevent you from joining with other web sites or marketing services.

But, remember, our reservation system is a real-time reservation system. So, the availability on our database has to be current and up to date at all times.


Because of this requirement you can’t submit the same room or unit to any other reservation system simultaneously, and you must honor all the reservation coming through online.


This is one of the important rules you must agree with us upon joining with us.


You may sell or submit the unit through any other agency at any time only after removing it from our system.

10. Can I sell rooms or facilities while it is listed on this website?

Yes. But, as we said earlier, you must have to remove it from our inventory by logging in to your property through internet or by calling our office in Sri Lanka.

You can get access to your inventory and availability through the unique owner page.
Example: http://www.srilankatravelbooking.com/hotels/ownerbooking/1049.html


This page will allow you to make your own reservation (Front Desk Reservations). It also allows you to check the availability before accepting local reservations at any time. There is no charge or commission for Owner Reservations / Front desk reservations.

We also have an online reservation deadline. It can be 3 days to 14 days at your choice. If anybody using our online reservation system they must place their reservation before the deadline. 


As an example, if you set the reservation deadline to 7 days and we did not receive any online reservation for the particular room or property before 7 days, it is available for front desk reservation. It is not available for online reservation after the dead line.


That means, if a reservation made by the front desk for a date within 7 days from today’s date, you will not be required to contact us or remove it from the data base.

11. Can I control or manage my listing?

You can control any of the following parameters by logging in to your account or by contacting our local office.

1.    Online reservation deadline – You can choose the minimum lead time in days for reservation 

2.    Rate bands – You may charge different prices for different days of the week, different seasons of the year, etc.

3.    Room or Facility Type - You may include different type of rooms, or facilities. Example, Single room or double room, etc.

4.    Maximum number of nights that can be booked through online – This can be 1 night to any number of nights. But we
     have created some limits.

5.    Minimum number of nights that can be booked through online – This can be 1 night to any number of nights. But we
     have created some limits.

6.    The period which reservation can be accepted – The beginning date and ending date of the reservations can be placed        through online. Our website is limited this period to a maximum of four (4) months.

14. How is my listing looks like?

Your lodging facility will be listed based on the location and category. This will allow customers to find your property through our search engine.

In addition, 
your facility will be listed on the appropriate city page under the most suitable category. You can see a demonstration listing under the Ahangama Hotels page.

From the city page, by clicking the link, customer will be directed to your hotel's detail page. (Example: ABC Test Hotel )
In this page, your customer can see a brief description and some images of your hotel.  

By pressing the “Book Now” button on this page, the customer can check the availability and then continue to the reservation procedure.

15. What are the other marketing tools available for me?

1.    We can provide you a customized website for your accommodation facility. It will be a separate sub domain which has a                  reservation link to our website. This website will be hosted by us on our server.

     This custom website will allow you to publish more details, your own terms and conditions, additional services, link to transfer           reservation, etc.

     To get a better idea please visit the custom sub domain we created for ABC Test Hotel.

2.    As a part of this web site we can create a customize transfer search page for your hotel. This will enable your customers to
     book airport transfer reservations easily. We place a link to this transfer search page on the customize web page. 

     If you are currently having your own web site, you may place this link on that web page too.

 
3.    Immediately after joining with us, your property name will be listed as a Location under the relevant city of Transfer Program.         This will enable your customers to book transportation from Katunayake International Airport to your hotel through our online          transfer reservation system.

16. I live in another country. I have a property in Sri Lanka; can I rent it through this web site?

Yes.

We invite all the Sri Lankan expatriates and foreign nationals who have a house, apartment, vacation home or any other suitable  accommodation facility in Sri Lanka, to list their properties on our web site.

You will get access to manage your property through the internet.

As you are able to control the availability you can use it when ever you need.

Example: You can make it unavailable for guests when you are visiting Sri Lanka.
 

In the near future, our property management division will be able to manage and maintain your rental property too.

We are mainly focused to providing of lodging facilities to the travelers. By listing with us, you will be able to rent your property to tourists. 

All rentals will be short term rentals and there are no any long term leasing or rental agreements involved. This will be the safest way to rent your property.
