Lanka is an

Climate
Sri Lanka is a tropical
island. It has moderately worm climate.
The hill city Nuwara Eliya has a mean temperature of 16 degrees Celsius
(60.8
F) and North eastern costal city Trincomalee has a mean temperature of
32
degrees Celsius (89.6 F).
North and North eastern
part of the island has one rainy
season which falls from October to January. South West and most of the
hill
country is considered as a wet zone. The wet zone enjoys two rainy
seasons
which falls from May to August
(South West Monsoon) and
November to February (North East Monsoon).
What
should I know before arrival?
Language:
While English, Sinhala
and Tamil are the three main official languages, all English speaking
travelers
may travel and communicate comfortably any ware throughout the country. If you are non English
speaker, it is

The available power supply is 240V / 50
Hz. You must carry battery charges and power adapters which suitable

Health &
Hygiene: As a tropical country with high
rainfall average mosquitoes are spread throughout the country. It is
advisable
to carry an adequate mosquito repellant lotion with you to use during
outdoor
activities. Most hotels will provide you plug-in mosquito repellents.
Food and
Drinking Water: Prepared food offered by
tourist hotels are considered to be safe. Avoid eating junk foods as
they are
not guaranteed to the hygienically standards. Purified bottled water
are
available every ware and it is advisable to drink bottled water.

this country is surrounded by the Indian
Ocean, it has plenty of world class beaches. Those

and preserved. Travelers may not
miss
the hill country where the world’s best tea plantations are located. The Pinnawela wild
elephant orphanage,
untouched Sinharaja natural rain forest and number of natural wild life
parks
